I have always been fascinated with birds. When I was at the beach in Florida last week, I saw lots of birds. The ones that made made me laugh out loud were the Western Willets. They're quite small compared to most of the other shore birds. As a wave goes out, they walk as fast as they can toward the water looking for food that the wave has left in the wet sand. Then, as the wave comes back in, they run very fast ahead of the incoming wave and keep moving back and forth for what seems like hours.
