I am passionate about photography—I believe in the magic of the moment and I love capturing it. I think of my camera as an extension of myself which I use to capture the unique beauty of special people and pets. I am continually inspired by the grandeur of nature and enjoy shooting everything from birds and flowers to sweeping land and seascapes.

I have devoted my life to the arts as a photographer, having previously been a professional violinist with the Syracuse Symphony and Symphoria. Looking through my camera lens activates the same creative energy that I draw from music. I am accustomed to spending long hours toward the perfection of my craft, so when I take on a project, I'm dedicated to elevating the images I capture to their very best, even when it involves significant work in post-processing.

I look forward to each photo shoot with great anticipation because of the opportunity to get to know each person and observe them involved in what they love. Each subject is different and with children and pets in particular, I want to spend time following them around, seeing how they approach life and what makes them light up. I never rush my subjects, which ensures that there is time for my photos to truly capture the essence of them. Although I love to shoot in nature and find the perfect backdrop for each individual, I'm also comfortable doing a session in your living room.

Outside of photography, my kids and grandkids are the loves of my life. I'm a bird watcher, wildflower lover and animal lover. I love all kinds of music from Bach and Bernstein to Mose Allison, Stevie Wonder and Coldplay.

I'm originally from Illinois and have lived in Iowa, Alabama, and Texas before planting my roots in Upstate New York. I love to travel and have visited 49 states and several countries. The Galapagos Islands are on my bucket list and may well be my next big adventure.

I would love to help create and capture magic moments for you and your loved ones.
